2nd_Amendment_pistolSenator Feinstein has introduced S.150, the Assault Weapon Ban of 2013. The bill prohibits hundreds of  types and models of semi-automatic rifles and shotguns and limits magazine capacity to 10 rounds. The bill contains other onerous prohibitions. Many of the prohibited weapons are in common use by state and local police forces. These same weapon types and models are legally owned by citizens for defense of themselves, their families and their property. Citizens also keep and bear arms of these types to defend against tyranny, in accordance with Part I, Article 2.a  and Part I Article 10 of the New Hampshire Constitution,

S.150 is a perfect example of federal legislators gone amok, acting with absolute disregard of the Constitution and the individual liberties it protects.

TenthAmendmentNH opposes S150 because it tramples on the natural right of citizens to keep and bear arms, as guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States. The 2nd Amendment is contained the Bill of Rights, which expressly states the natural right of citizens to keep and bear arms “shall not be infringed”. That is, no government bureaucrat, politician or czar may enact by fiat any measure that abridges this natural right. The Supreme Court has struck down gun bans in the District of Columbia and in the States. S 150 is a wonton and egregious attempt to restrict the liberty of law abiding citizens. The bill is repugnant to the US Constitution. It is oppressive, slavish, absurd and contrary to the good and happiness of citizens.

The US Supreme Court has struck down weapons bans in the District of Columbia and also gun bans in States. SCOTUS ruled that the 2nd Amendment protects the individual right to keep and bear arms that no government shall infringe.

It is the duty of sovereign citizens to denounce, resist and reform oppressive and tyrannical government actions, such as S 150. The Assault Weapon Ban of 2013 is an blatantly unconstitutional government action, which should be defeated in Congress and nullified by States and citizens if passed.

We urge every thinking citizen to take action now. Call and write to your Senators and urge them to defeat S 150. Resist tyranny. Protect your Constitutional rights.

In Colorado on Friday, U.S. District Court Judge John Kane, a Carter appointee, granted a preliminary injunction on behalf of Hercules Industries, halting the government’s ability to enforce its anti-conscience mandate against the company while the lawsuit challenging the mandate continues in court. Hercules is a family-owned, for-profit company whose self-insured health plan for its 265 employees does not cover abortion-inducing drugs, sterilization, and contraception. It sued the Obama Administration to protect its right to continue to administer its health plan in a way that comports with the family’s religious … More
